BONECO clears the air
In our everyday lives, we often don't realize the impact that the particles in the air we breathe have on our lives. These particles, which vary in size and composition, play a crucial role in shaping our environment and influencing our health.
Airborne particles come in a variety of sizes, ranging from tiny to visible. At one end of the spectrum are nanoparticles, which are only a few nanometres in diameter. These particles, which often come from industrial processes and combustion sources, can remain in the air for long periods of time and penetrate deep into our airways, potentially posing a significant health risk.
The next larger size category with a diameter of less than 2.5 or 10 micrometres is fine dust. Particles smaller than 10 micrometers are no longer completely separated in the upper airways and can reach the lungs. Particles smaller than 2.5 micrometers are respirable particulate matter, as they can penetrate into the alveoli of the lungs. These particles, which are primarily generated by vehicle emissions, industrial activities and natural sources such as forest fires, contribute to haze, reduce visibility and are linked to respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.
In addition to fine dust particles, there are also larger particles in the air that are visible to the naked eye. This category includes dust, pollen and other pollutants that affect air quality and can trigger allergies in susceptible people. Although these larger particles do not penetrate as deeply as nanoparticles or fine dust, they can still affect respiratory health and contribute to environmental degradation.
What is in our air?
Particles in the air can act as carriers for substances such as heavy metals, pesticides and toxins. Once suspended in the air, these pollutants can travel long distances, affecting air quality far from their original sources and posing risks.
By understanding the sources and properties of airborne particles, we can take action to mitigate their effects and protect both our health and the planet for generations to come.
Until comprehensive solutions to fine dust pollution are implemented, BONECO offers a remedy so that you can breathe clean and healthy air in your own home: such as the P370 Air Purifier. With its innovative 5-stage purification system, the P370 is designed to combat a wide range of airborne particles and ensure that you and your loved ones breathe in only pure, fresh air.
The five stages include a pre-filter for large dust particles and hair, a HEPA filter with H13 filter material for fine dust, smoke and allergens, an ionizer to boost filtration performance, a UV-C light to reduce certain viruses and bacteria and a photocatalytic filter that reduces chemicals and odors. The P370 is also equipped with a particle sensor and indicates the air quality by changing the front light from blue to orange to red depending on the air quality. The P370 cleans the air either in manual mode or in automatic mode, in which it adjusts its performance depending on the air quality.
